Adsense tips

The primary source of ad revenues (of most of the websites) is Google adsense. Google Adsense is not only user-friendly, but also easy to install. And to add more, Google adsense is being vouched by millions of publishers for its genuine ad revenue sharing practice. In a world where every other publisher is misled by so-called online earning schemes, Google adsense stands tall for it’s sincerity!

Placing Google adsense on your website is just the beginning to make a decent earning through online ads. As I said in my earlier posts, content is the King. Ad revenues, over a long run, entirely depends on your content and your loyal visitors (again only quality content can attract and keep them)

Most of the bloggers/publishers need to spend some time on researching about blogging skills and technicals, atleast during the initial period. And the other most important thing is, to do some experiments with ad placements. Though each of your visitor follows certain common surfing habits, it may vary from your website subject also. For eg: If your website contains mostly visuals, your reader may first get attracted to the most striking visual on your home page. He may not follow the statutory left to right viewing habit.

But keeping in mind, the usual reading habits of readers, we can arrive at certain conclusions and thereby chalk out a few rules. Let me share some of the tips/tricks of blogging and Adsense placements. Some of these tips/tricks are mastered by pro-bloggers and therefore can be called successful tricks!

Posting daily
The first rule in successful blogging is regular posting of quality content. If you have subscribed to technorati, you can analyze, how your traffic/ranking gets affected when you fail to post regularly. There are softwares which can post for you(ofcourse you have to keep the posts ready in advance) when you’re not around. You just need to fix the date of posting, that’s it!

Tags
When you submit your blog to search engines you leave certain tags with them. Search engines crawl your site and look for those tags. So, make your content visible to search engine crawlers. How do you do it? Simple, use your tag words regularly and often in your content. But don’t overdo it! Use your tags 2-3 times in a 100 word para.

Links
While using tags in your content try to link each tag word to related link.(May be ad links also) If you use Google adsense in one of your para, try to link it to google adsense site. This will increase your ad revenue. But PLEASE, PLEASE don’t mislead readers. When you have a certain number of loyal readers, it becomes like a family. Will you cheat your family member by misleading, just for few more cents?

Adsense placement
Adsense has to look like a part of your website. If it stands out, readers will just skip it. Don’t keep the ads in separate colours. Keep the background of the ads, same colour as your content background. Do away with borders. We’re in boundary-less world!

Don’t irritate readers
Too cluttered ads will surely irritate your readers and eventually drive away your loyal readers. Imagine your house being covered with too many ad hoardings! So, keep them neat. An ad at the top could be a good idea. At different places you can place different styles/shapes of ads. Try Google link ads too, which is neat and not irritating also.

Experiment with Adsize
Most of the successful bloggers will tell you that vertical ads may not work well in many cases. Horizontal ads are more effective choice. They call it leaderboards. True leader in earning for you! And place ads just after when you say something interesting. Not after a posting which will put readers into sleep!

Links to additional info
The bottomline is simple. Readers don’t want to click on ads just to make you rich. They click on ads when they need some additional info. Google adsense being contextual in nature, you can use that for your advantage. When you make your ads look like additional links to your posting, readers will naturally click on it. And they won’t repent as they’ll be led to related info only. And I don't see any reason why you repent! And I can already see a grin on your face!

blogging original content

Earning online is the toughest task as long as you don’t spend enough time to master the little secrets, little tricks and more technical knowhow of blogging. Ofcourse it takes loads of time and be prepared to divert loads of time. The best advise I got from expert bloggers is that spend more time on content, refining, fine-tuning content. Because people will come to your blog to read, not to click on your ads. Generating revenue from blog has no meaning for your readers.

If you look at the number of posts in my blog, you may be surprised. You can really count on your fingers. I had many many posts, but I used to borrow from other bloggers. I used to look for tips, tricks on other expert blogs and borrow from them and post on my blogs. But later I realized that it’s not a good practice, both ethically and technically.

One pro-blogger advised me that it may not go well with search engines and it may offend their policies. And I need search engine desperately. And when I started writing my own content I started realizing that I can contribute a lot in terms of blogging tips. Each one’s blogging experience is different and I want to share my blogging experience too. And I’m sure some people reading my posts are really find that interesting. And above all I’m extremely enjoying the experience of writing my own content.

We all borrow from other expert bloggers’ ideas and tips. We try them out in our blogs and we’ll be more richer by that experience. And I’m excited to share that ‘my experience’ After trying out so many of their tips and tricks I realized that I have so much to write. I’m sure you have too.

So, what I want to stress is that readers like original content(even search engines too). They may find some of the shared content interesting, but they soon discover that there’s no depth in your content and it’s not merging well with your other original content. Just try posting few more posts in your blog today and don’t forget to ping . you’ll be surprised to see how higher your blog ranking has gone up.

Blogging business

Making money from online has never been easier than now. The corporates are ready to shell out more moolah to reach the net audience. Advertising agencies across the globe, have recognized internet as a more effective promotional vehicle to carry business messages. Today I read in a newspaper that online advertising revenue has gone up by whopping 155%! Amazing!

Intenet is reaching more and more people all over the globe and I’m glad advertisers find online advertising as the right medium to reach them. The change in ad-men's thinking is also boosted by the use of latest technology like contextual ad techniques initiated by Google adsense. Now advertisers can place online ads and relax, as the margin of manipulation has come down almost to nil.

Ancient remedies for modern times

Some of the personal blogs are also targeted by the advertisers to reach the desired audience. Some blog authors have been approached by brands who want to advertise in their blog title or on the blog.

What does this mean?
It means that the brands are going beyond the traditional and ready to try out the new media vehicles. The enthusiasm to advertise on individual blogs show their conviction and trust in the seriousness of blogging.

Three cheers to blogging! This is just the beginning, mate!

Ad world seeks out blog spots

Jairaj Singh, Hindustan Times

It is a big blog world. Advertisers and publishers seem to have finally realised this. And they want to make the most of it.
Last week, Salt Water Blues, a Mumbai blog, revealed that a shampoo manufacturer was ready to pay for adding the shampoo brand name to the blog’s.
The author of Compulsive Confessor, a blog that gets 600 hits daily, has just completed her first book. Penguin India commissioned it after reading the blog. Another publisher loved Arun Krishnan’s blog, Cutting Chai. Krishnan’s novel, Loudest Firecracker, will be published in October.
Ravi Singh of Penguin India says, "Blogs are a new option to discover new talent." Adds Nilanjana S Roy, chief editor, EastWest and Westland Books: "You can follow a writer’s progression and the possibility of new trends on blogs." Roy discovered Krishnan’s work.

Delhi-based Jai Arjun Singh, whose blog Jabberwocky deals largely with books and movies, is finalising a deal with Pix. The TV channel wants to advertise on his blog. "I was even approached by a matrimonial website to advertise its services on my blog. I declined because it didn’t fit in with my blog’s image," says Singh.
Himmat Butalia, marketing head, Pix, says Jabberwocky has what his channel wants. "We were interested in Jabberwocky because it’s a blog that writes about old films. It goes with our channel’s target audience, since Pix showcases old and different movies," he says.
Language blogs too are getting the offers. Mohalla, a Hindi blog by Avinash Das, has been approached by an ad firm. Says Das: "A regional language blog has an advantage — it helps advertisers focus upon a narrow, specific audience."
Ad-guru Prahlad Kakkar sums it up: "An advertiser will sell anything, any which way. Blogs are in because people are talking about them."

Online ads get their context right

Mayank Tewari, in Hindustan Times

Contexual or target-specific advertising is the latest online hit, giving brands their audience and websites their revenue. The response in India to this avatar of online advertising has got advertising agencies and their clients excited.
Google’s AdSense introduced contextual advertising, where sponsored links appear on the page with information similar to the content of the page you are viewing, some years ago. Google now says the India experience is overwhelming.
"With AdSense, Indian companies have an advertising solution that allows them to understand the value they can derive and track the ROI — return on investment," says M Shailesh Rao, managing director, sales and operations, Google India. The advertiser can track every click and calculate the revenue it got.
"This allows everyone, from global companies to the smallest home-run enterprises, to reach users in the same cost effective, highly targeted way," adds Rao.

Manish Agarwal, vice president, marketing, Rediff.com, says: "Internet growth in India has forced advertisers to re-invent their style and strategies."
Social networking sites are in too. "Thanks to the Orkut phenomenon, social networking has all the attention from advertisers," says Sidharth Rao, co-founder, Webchutney, an online marketing and advertising agency.

AGLOCO magic!

Agloco network of Dot com Mogul John Chow looks something like this!
Just look at the numbers and how it peaked through his referrals!

ONLINE business marvel, I would call this. Agloco has been in the news for some time. Early registered members got disappointed as Agloco took loads of time to let them download the viewbar. Now the viewbar is on millions of computers all over the world. As far as earning part is concered, there is still a bit of suspense in terms of how much money members get paid. But I’m slightly convinced about Agloco team’s sincerity

Ancient remedies for modern times

So, I’m recommending people to register and Join my AGLOCO network
Once you register you need to download AGLOCO viewbar which will not take more than 1.8MB space to 5MB(when installed). Agloco viewbar will take as little space as window task bar, so no space crunch! There’s an inbuilt Google search window. Google search and Ads that appear in the viewbar gets Agloco , the moolah, which in turn shares the revenue with us.

More time you spend on the net, more hours will be credited into your account which will be converted into money. Above all you get paid even for your referrals’ net usage! Agloco concept is amazing! Hope it succeeds in making most of us richer, so that all our efforts get paid.

One blog vs many blogs

Blog businees tycoon Darren Rowse says, at one time he had 20 blogs!
In simple mathematics, more blogs means more traffic and more money. True! But it’s true when you have mastered the tricks of taking blog to the top! Otherwise you’ll struggle to manage time to post regularly and in turn end up neglecting the crucial area of Increasing blog traffic.

So, the debate is on! To have one blog or more blogs?
Let me share some tips and suggestions that are seconded by highly successful bloggers all around the world.

Making money through more than one blog excites anybody. And it is a fact that most of the highly successful bloggers maintain 5-10 blogs. But don’t hurry into making too many blogs and end up neglecting all of them. Instead start with one blog and focus completely on that blog.

Ancient remedies for modern times

As you learn slowly to make one blog successful, you can add more blogs. And you can apply all your knowledge and skill you learnt with your debut blog on other blogs. So, while your first blog took a year to reach somewhere near the top, your next blogs will take less time to reach there and start making money.

Some successful bloggers get professional writers to write for their blogs and pay them. It’s only practical when you know enough of blogging business skills and you can afford to focus on Blog Traffic, Increasing Click through Rate, Building Links, Page Ranking etc. These things can only make your content reach the audience. Otherwise the best of your writing may not reach the desired target!

Making money online is a serious business. You should treat it as a business. Ask yourself. Will you start few more business before you settle in one business? The answer is clear NO!

Earn money while surfing!

Get paid for surfing!

I recently joined AGLOCO because of a friend recommended it to me. I am now promoting it to you because I like the idea and I want you to share in what I think will be an exciting new Internet concept.

AGLOCO’s story is simple:

Do you realize how valuable you are? Advertisers, search providers and online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf. How much of that money are you making? NONE!

AGLOCO thinks you deserve a piece of the action.

AGLOCO collects money from those companies on behalf of its members. (For example, Google currently pays AOL 10 cents for every Google search by an AOL user. And Google still has enough profit to pay $1.6 billion dollars for YouTube, an 18-month old site full of content that YouTube’s users did not get paid for!

AGLOCO will work to get its Members their share of this and more.

AGLOCO is building a new form of online community that they call an Economic Network. They are not only paying Members their fair share, but they’re building a community that will generate the kind of fortune that YouTube made. But instead of that wealth making only a few people rich, the entire community will get its share.

Ancient remedies for modern times

What's the catch? No catch - no spyware, no pop-ups and no spam - membership and software are free and AGLOCO is 100% member owned. Privacy is a core value and AGLOCO never sells or rents member information.

So do both of us a favor: Sign up for AGLOCO right now!

Genuine earning idea!
